The Old Part of Town is a seasoned Americana band rooted in Baltimore’s vibrant music scene. Blending folk, roots rock, country, and bluegrass, their sound is shaped by decades of collaboration, songwriting, and live performance. Led by longtime bandmates and songwriters Matt Douglass and Sam Nitzberg, the group brings together a deep bench of regional talent — including pedal steel player Lynn Kasdorf, upright bassist Dave Frieman, and drummer Steve Raskin — to deliver rich harmonies, thoughtful lyrics, and a dynamic, rootsy live show.
