When music is given the benefit of instinct, imagination and inspiration, the results are guaranteed to be good. So it ought to come as no surprise that the critically-acclaimed Annapolis Maryland-based trio, appropriately dubbed Pressing Strings, has infused those elements within their musical mantra the beginning. The band —Jordan Sokel (Guitar/Vocals), Nick Welker (Bass, Vocals), Justin Kruger (Drums, Vocals) can trace its origins to Sokel’s initial fascination with some iconic influences, among them, the usual suspects — Dylan, Marley, Simon, Withers, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Led Zeppelin, etc., as well as some more under the radar artists like Taj Mahal, R.L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, and Nick Drake.
Enslow (enz-low), a trailblazing pop sensation hailing from the greater Baltimore area, blends mainstream allure with nostalgic sensibilities to create genre-defying tracks. Drawing from her eclectic upbringing and diverse musical influences, ranging from the infectious pop anthems of Britney Spears to the introspective lyricism of Norah Jones, Enslow’s sound is a dynamic fusion of catchy hooks, lush production, & heartfelt storytelling. In 2020, Enslow burst onto the scene with her debut single, captivating listeners with her charisma, uniqueness, nerve, & talent. Seamlessly blending elements of electronic pop with hints of the 1970s and an indie sensibility, Enslow’s music offers a refreshing take on the contemporary pop scene.
