Hays Dowdy is a Washington, DC based alternative indie artist and multi-instrumentalist known for a focus on lead guitars paired with baroque lyricism. Recruiting a high-energy live band to perform his unique blend of classically infused psychedelic rock with agile grooves and angelic harmonies, his fourth single, “The Ghost Before You (feat. Abby Sevcik)”, is out now!
OUTCALLS:
Blast! is a bright, catchy track that laments a lover’s betrayal with deceptively smiling vocals. The song is based on the earthbound heartbreak of astronaut Lisa Nowak, whose accomplishments as an engineer for NASA spacewalks and high naval rank were dashed by her heartache-inspired, 900-mile journey to confront her lover’s lover.
